Welcome to Oadby & Wigston Community Action

Our role is to help develop and promote local voluntary and community groups in order to improve the quality of life for individuals, groups and communities.

We do this by encouraging, supporting and developing individuals, groups and organisations involved in the community. We are committed to ensuring that no individual, group or community is disadvantaged or excluded from playing an active part in society. We promote new initiatives and establish partnerships between the statutory agencies and the voluntary sector.

We recruit and place volunteers in our own schemes (information available on the Volunteering Page). We offer continual support and encouragement to all our volunteers to fulfil their full potential and see that volunteering is a worthwhile and enjoyable experience.
